Day 1 Horizontal Falls and the Buccaneer Archipelago
Your adventure begins with a courtesy pick-up from your accommodation in Broome or Derby (11.30am pick up from Broome or 2.15pm from Derby).
You’ll board the seaplane where your experienced pilot will fly you directly to the world-famous Horizontal Falls in Talbot Bay. Flying times are approximately one hour and 15 minutes from Broome and 30 minutes from Derby.
Then, make yourself at home aboard our luxury houseboat, Barrashack. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Then an afternoon full of adventure awaits.
First up, you’ll jump on our powerful fast boat for an adrenalin-fuelled ride through the iconic Horizontal Falls, with the skipper guiding the craft expertly through the narrow gorges and impressive tidal swells.
After a relaxing island cruise, a swim with the friendly sharks in our shark and crocodile-proof cage and an entertaining fish feeding show, it’s time to leave the Horizontal Falls aboard your luxury houseboat.
We’ll cruise west into the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago where another thrilling adventure awaits.
This time, it’s a scenic helicopter flight over the pristine beaches and bays of the thousand islands in this breathtakingly beautiful area, so don’t forget your cameras!
You’ll overnight in air-conditioned en-suite luxury on the houseboat in a calm, secluded bay.
All meals are prepared fresh by our on-board chef.
Star-gazing each night from our open-air deck will have you spellbound at the twinkling beauty of the Kimberley night sky.
Day 2 Dugong Bay / Rainforest hike
How does an action-packed day of reef walking, exploring rainforests, and turtle and dugong spotting sound?
Once the Barrashack has taken you even deeper into the untouched wilderness of the Buccaneer Archipelago, jump on the dinghy for a meander through the mangroves.
Hop off for an energetic hike through virgin forest. Remember though, this is YOUR ultimate Horizontal Falls cruise so you only have to do those activities that you want to!
Pick a perfect spot in a secluded rainforest for a refreshing drink and a cooling dip in a waterhole.
Then explore the reefs for some of the fascinating marine animals like dugongs and turtles.
When you return to the houseboat for your second night, you’ll discover a new secluded bay and more spectacular surroundings.
Day 3 Barramundi fishing / Exploring
Choices, choices. Should you try your hand at catching a barramundi from our exclusive fishing charter boat or does some relaxing downtime on board the houseboat tickle your fancy?
That’s what makes this exclusive Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures tour so special. You get to experience the incredible Kimberley your way.
Enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch, take a refreshing dip in a natural waterhole and enjoy some peaceful cruising around this remote wilderness paradise.
DAY 4 Island exploring / Reef adventure
Get ready for a big day!
You’ll explore some of the outer islands and untouched reefs aboard our custom built, high-speed expedition boat. And if the fish are biting, they’ll be on the barbeque for a freshly cooked lunch!
There’ll be plenty of time to cruise around the pristine island beaches, bays and creeks before returning to Barrashack in the late afternoon to unwind and relax.
DAY 5 Beachcombing / Island cruising / Helicopter rides / Cyclone Creek adventure
Your last day in paradise.
What’ll it be? A helicopter flip exploring secluded beaches? Beachcombing for nature’s treasures? Spotting wildlife? Feed your soul from this ancient land where pearly beaches and crystal blue water meet the rugged reds and greens of the untouched landscape.
Then relax as you cruise back into Talbot Bay to the Horizontal Falls, exploring the raw beauty of nearby Cyclone Creek on the way.
And remember, you’ve still got a thrilling low level seaplane flight to look forward to!
If you’re returning to Derby, your Horizontal Falls Seaplanes Adventures flight will land around 8.00am. If you are heading back to Broome, approximate arrival time is 3.00pm.

The houseboat has six private air-conditioned and shared facilities which sleeps up to 12 people in spacious, well-appointed comfort.
Large windows in all the cabins provide uninterrupted views over the magical Kimberley scenery.
The bathrooms feature complimentary toiletries to add a touch of indulgence.
On this tour, the houseboat is always accompanied by another of our customised boats, a 12m state-of-the-art fishing and long range expedition vessel.
We also have a helicopter on board for panoramic rides over this pristine wilderness.
The open area of the top deck is perfect for relaxing, enjoying sundowners and al fresco evening meals under the stars.
The main TV lounge is under cover and comfortable couches ensure you can relax at any time.
